This week we do final end-to-end testing of the Doppler ultrasound system, and then go over some of the high-level system design questions.
In preparation for this lab, make sure to have your Doppler ultrasound board completed, and all checkoffs obtained for the Labs that led up to this point:
- Transmit amplifier: Lab 4
- Receive amplifier: Lab 6
- XNOR multiplier: Lab 7
- Comparator: Lab 7
- S-K LPF: Lab 10
- Boost converter: Lab 12
- Comparator: Lab 12
Then, make sure you know how each stage works, and the role each stage plays in the overall signal chain, as is provided at the top of nearly every US lab. Section 2 of Lab 12 is an excellent example.
